Well, today was the final Harvard Business School AMP179 spin class. I love leading the AMP179 sessions as AMP course attendees are all exceptionally driven and competitive.
This final week was 'race week'....Monday we rode a quasi simulation of the US Pro Road Championship course, include the brutally steep climb of Paris Mountain.
See this link for details on the US Pro Road Championships course in Greenville, SC
Today we finished off with a simulation of the Wells Ave Crit (http://www.bostonroadclub.com/wells_ave), a 0.8 mile loop in Needham, MA. Follow this link to view the loop
I happened to bring my camera to today's class so you can see the final sprint to the finish....
Congrats to the AMP179 crew for a terrific session - including the hard core ab crew.

Awesome Green Technology
I am proud to say that Harvard Business School's Shad Hall has invested in Green Revolutions dynamos to capture the wattage being produced by the Indoor Cycling participants.
Here's an informative article from the Taipei Times on the technology, plus a link to the company itself...

The Green Revolution Inc
I wish every club that offered indoor cycling had their bikes hooked up!
As an extra incentive I think the Clubs should work on discounting memberships based on the number of watt-hours produced. Of course this would require additional technology as there would need to be a means to track each members' individual power output.
Still, i LOVE the technology and it makes the class even more fun!
